Today, we are releasing the third pattern for the Small and Sweet Mini Quilt Club, and it’s called Flitter! This is the latest 26″ square quilt in the series:
I love this pattern- it’s perfect for Spring and Summer, and the applique is quick and easy.
My long-arm quilter, Danny, added a simple design to the butterfly wings, and did a loop-y pattern around the appliques:
I have this little quilt on my kitchen table right now, and I just love it! It is certainly signalling the beginning of Spring!
The palette that I chose for this is pink, coral, and blue. Any pastels or cheery fabrics would look really great with this pattern- honestly, I don’t think you could go wrong!
Danny also made her own really pretty version in red, black and gray, and she used a buttonhole stitch for the applique:
You could even go with an “Americana” colorway with this, if that’s more your style:
Hint- if you leave off the leaf appliques, it’s still super cute!!!
For this club, I am the designer, and my good friend Michele from Mishka’s Playground is the hostess! It’s not too late to sign up! Sign up today and get all previous patterns (January, January Bonus Pattern, February, and March). Then, you will receive patterns in April, May and June as they are released.
