I learned so much from this class! I had never worked with gridded interfacing before- have you? It makes your patchwork come out absolutely perfectly- it’s like magic, lol. And if you can’t find gridded interfacing, Caroline shows you how to make your own.
Once you learn how to make perfect patchwork, you can make a bag- from tiny coin purse to giant tote- or a basket in just about any size. The great thing is that all of the projects are scaleable- just choose your square size, from small to extra extra large! I used 5″ squares- so if you have a pack or 2 of charm squares that you’ve been trying to decide what to do with, here’s the perfect project.
I decided to make the basket. I chose some “nautical looking” fabrics to go with my Ahoy! quilt. I think this is going to look great at the beach house!
It would also make a great gift basket! I can see my basket stuffed with baby items for a new baby boy! Or, to store little toys and cars in a kid’s bedroom.
Another thing I really liked about the class is that all of the content is organized into small lessons, so you can easily find what you are looking for. Plus, you can do a “30 second” repeat and replay the last 30 seconds of video if you missed something. You can also slow down and speed up the video. And of course, you can watch the videos over and over because you have access to the class forever (and forever is a long time.)
Can I share a secret with you?? Even though there are printed class instructions, I never even read them! The instructions in the video were detailed enough that I was able to make my basket simply by following along with the video.
Here is a little preview of the class:
